武內義雄是中國哲學思想研究的重要學者，他以實證論來研究中國思想史的方法，啟發了後來的許多重要學者。二戰中他曾為日本昭和天皇講授中國哲學。
這本《中國哲學思想史》是武內義雄重要的著作，由現代翻譯家汪馥泉翻譯。武內義雄按古代期（諸子、經學），中古期（三教交涉），近代期（儒教革新）的分類，研究和書寫了中國哲學思想的源流與演變。既脈絡清晰賅要，又有新的論證角度與獨到見解，讀者可有頗多獲益與啟發。

作者簡介：
武內義雄
1886—1966，號述庵，出生於日本三重縣。1919年留學中國。1923年起在東北帝國大學擔任法學文學部教授，翌年任該校圖書館館長，1948年任該校名譽教授。曾為日本昭和天皇講授中國哲學史。二戰後曾任日本學士院會員，名古屋大學教授。武內義雄是戰前日本中國哲學思想史研究中實證主義學派的代表。主要著作有《中國哲學思想史》《老子原始》《老子研究》《老子與莊子》《諸子概論》《論語研究》《中國思想史》《易與中庸》《子思子考》等。

譯者簡介：
汪馥泉
1900—1959，字浚，杭州人。早年求學於杭州甲種工業學校。1919年參加五四運動，去日本留學。1922年回國，先後從事翻譯、教育、報刊編輯等工作。曾任教於上海公學、復旦大學、東北人民大學（今吉林大學）等。主要譯作有《中國哲學思想史》《中國文學思想史綱》《初夜權》《中國文學研究譯叢》《歐洲近代文學思潮》等。
